There will be no rhyme or reason with this post. This will be out of order, but this a little of what we have been doing this summer. William broke my camera so we missed getting pictures a lot this year! It is the 2nd camera he has broken and I am hoping it doesn't become a yearly tradition for him!
William's 3rd birthday party!
We met all of the cousins at Riverton park. It was a pretty laid back party this year, but I think William loved it just the same. This has been a big year for him. He has started talking up a storm, it's not always English - but it almost never ceases! He is now a "big boy" and much to my dismay I may no longer call him baby! He is now large enough to ride his bike. I wish I had a picture of that because it is simply adorable - it's his fault I don't. The best part of this year....he is potty trained! Hooray for William, double hooray for mommy!!!
Easter morning! The kids looked so cute and it was very fun watching them find eggs. This year it was just my kids in the backyard. Usually we have a larger group, but it was pretty nice watching the kids carefully and somewhat slowly gathering eggs. Isabelle was such a good helper for William!
We took the kids downtown for a family date day.
We rode the Trax train. It was the first time for both of the kids. They LOVED it.
Here we are playing in the splash pad at Gateway.
William was freezing!
Isabelle really enjoyed the train. She wanted to experience a little independence and didn't want to sit by her parents. How embarrassing would that be for her? We let her sit across the isle. I don't believe in freedom and independence and such nonsense for children. Actually I do believe in it, I just don't approve of it. Can't they just remain my adorable little followers and fans forever?
We went to Temple Square and the visitor center.
It is always such a nice feeling there, I don't know why I don't take the kids down there more often!
Oh for the love of Pete! I can't stand the cuteness of this child! She is such a blessing in my life!
We went for a hike up to Cascade Springs.
I use the term "hike" in the most liberal sense of the word. A 1 year old just learning to walk wouldn't have much trouble on this trail. It is really beautiful though and one of my favorite places to visit!
William started taekowndo!!!
He is a natural which is what we expected when his first word was "AYAAAA!"
He is about a foot shorter that every other small child in class, but don't tell him, because he doesn't seem to know. He also doesn't know you should be scared when you get knocked over and punched time after time. He just really enjoys it and I am sure that one day he will be a force to be reckoned with!
These 2 are crazy about each other and best friends. This is just us at IHOP, but the picture made it in because I think it's so cute!
This was at Hollywood Connections. They loved the rides and arcade games. Isabelle absolutely hated roller skating, but I am going to get her to try it again. I am sure she will love it....eventually!
We got to go to the circus this year. I love the circus. I am so glad I have small children so that I have an excuse for going!

William wants a motorcycle sooo bad. He has the wrong mom for that wish to ever come true. I feel so bad for him...not bad enough to ever give in to his dreams! I had the cutest and I mean cutest picture of Isabelle on this motorcylce. Ringling Brothers could have put in on their brochures, and what did I do? I deleted it! I am still mad at myself for that one!
We had some friends come visit from California for a couple of days.
We went to the dinosaur museum. The kids had a great time.
I just endured it. I can't get over how expensive it is and how everyone just lets their children run around like wild animals. It's not really my favorite place to go!
Isabelle, Soungsik and I went to Las Vegas this year for a taekwondo competition.
Isabelle never falls asleep in the car. It's a little bizarre!
I have some pictures of the competition, but I can't find the pictures we took on the Strip. I am hoping they turn up eventually.
These were all of the students that went to competition with us. It was our schools first competition. We weren't the big winners, but I was very happy with all of our students. They all did pretty good and we learned a lot!
This is Isabelle getting warmed up with Ann. Ann wishes Isabelle was her little sister and Isabelle wishes Ann was her big sister. Poor girls with no sisters! At least they have each other I guess!
This is Isabelle in her form competition. I was pretty impressed with her in this venue! She got 2nd place!
Here she is in the sparring portion of competition (in the red with the wild ponytail). She is about as fierce as a little white fluffy bunny, and not the kind in Monte Python. I guess all of the aggressive genes from her parents skipped her and were all packed in her little brother! She still had fun and got 2nd place.
Here is the fierce competitor with her meddles!
We renewed our zoo member ship this year. Unlike the dinosaur museum I love the zoo. The kids can't get enough of it.
I hate this picture of me (I hate all pictures of myself) however, I grew up with a mom who would never let her picture be taken. I love my mom, but I think of all the memories we will never have because of her feelings about pictures. I am trying to not pass on the self loathing in pictures to my children. So here I am and now you know how I feel about it.
It was pretty cool to get the picture with the eagle. We had to pay $5.00 which I never would have done because I am a cheapskate, but this time we took their dad who is much funner and less cheap than myself!
STOP GROWING...I repeat...STOP GROWING THIS INSTANT!
Up until this year she was afraid of the giant gorilla!
We were on the 2nd to last train ever on the little zoo train. They are getting rid of the old track and building a big new track that will be done in a couple of years. It was cool to be part of the final history of that train. I remember loving it when I was younger!
Isabelle had a piano concert this June. All of the kids dressed up like rock stars and played to the drums. Isabelle played "I want to hold your hand" by the Beatles. She had that song perfect before the concert it was so great! I was so excited for this one, because I thought it would be so fun. She got there and completely bombed the song! I was sad - she didn't really seem to care, which made me even sadder. We have a concert in about a month. I am really hoping she can do better this time around and not let nerves get the best of her!
Isabelle lost her first tooth this year and a few more have followed.
She was thrilled since "everybody else" had already lost one.
Hi. My name is William. This picture is here because even though it it blurry, I am still adorable. I am a huge mamma's boy. A HUGE mamma's boy!
